Tegra deposit label system
As of December 31, 2022, a deposit system on cans will be introduced in the Netherlands. The aim of this measure is to collect and recycle approximately 2 billion cans. Therefore, by the end of this year, cans must be provided with a deposit label/pfand label. Tegra Systems offers the perfect solution: the 'Tegra Deposit Label System'. This system enables existing cans and bottles with a barcode to be relabeled.
A machine for relabeling craft beer cans is already up and running — and it’s a great success! Especially in the craft beer world, it is important from a marketing perspective that cans stand out and look appealing. This becomes particularly important when relabeling. That’s why the new barcode is placed on the least attractive part of the can: directly over the existing barcode.
2500 items per hour
The Tegra Deposit Label System can apply new labels to up to 2,500 cans (33cl and 500ml) or bottles per hour. The scanner can read both horizontal and vertical barcodes.
The line is equipped with:
- Infeed table for quick loading of cans
- Barcode detection to apply the deposit label in the correct position
- Can singulator
- Outfeed table with a removable tray
